Jesus’ Promised Return

Jesus will return. He promises this and He will come in great glory for all to see.

Revelation 1:

4 This letter is from John to the seven churches in the province of Asia.

Grace and peace to you from the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come; from the sevenfold Spirit before his throne; 5 and from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world.

All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us. 6 He has made us a Kingdom of priests for God his Father. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.

7 Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven.
And everyone will see him—
even those who pierced him.
And all the nations of the world
will mourn for him.
Yes! Amen!
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.

Lord have Mercy!

As Christians, build each other up, have mercy and glorify God.

Jude 20-25

20 But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit,

21 and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.

22 And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering.

23 Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.

24 Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.

25 All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.

Leaders of Justice

God wants leaders to be caring and fair.

Proverbs 29:

12 If a ruler pays attention to liars,
all his advisers will be wicked.
13 The poor and the oppressor have this in common—
the Lord gives sight to the eyes of both.
14 If a king judges the poor fairly,
his throne will last forever.

Commanded Love

God is love and He commands us to love others.

2 John 1:

5 I am writing to remind you, dear friends,[c] that we should love one another. This is not a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning. 6 Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.

Jesus~Life Forever

God gives us life forever, now and after we die, if we make Him the leader of our life.

1 John 5:

11 And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.13 I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. 14 And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. 15 And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

God’s Love in Our Life

Christians loves others because God’s love lives in us.

1 John 4:

9 God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 10 This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

11 Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. 12 No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in

THE Comparison

John 3:16 is probably the most famous of all Bible verses. It could be used to summarize the content of the Bible.

There is another verse written by John that is an interesting comparison. It is 1 John 3:16.  It has similar meaning except that it adds some more great truth in a few words. The two amazing truths found in this verse:

1) God through Jesus loves us profoundly

2) We should greatly and unselfishly love others so much that we would die in their place

Pray For Israel

I read verse 6 of Psalm 122 in context this morning.  It inspired me. It causes me to want to seek out investments in the stock market that are Jewish whether they are in the land of Israel or America. When this verse says Jerusalem it is referring to God’s people, the Jews.

I have learned from reading the Bible that as a Christian I’m a descendent of Abraham. Abraham was a man of great faith in God in the Old Testament. God told him he would bless him and his descendants. I trust God that He can help our family prosper in order that we would have more than enough in our finances to wisely and kindly give to others and then they will see our lives and our kindness toward them and know that God is kind to them also.

Psalm 122:

6 Pray for peace in Jerusalem.
May all who love this city prosper.
7 O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls
and prosperity in your palaces.
8 For the sake of my family and friends, I will say,
“May you have peace.”
9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek what is best for you, O Jerusalem
