After lunch today, I went to the house our company is building with Habitat For Humanity. It’s a three bedroom house. It’s being built for a lady named Sarina. We put on siding. Jeremy, Mike and another guy (Sorry, I don’t know his name) climbed the ladders and I helped by handing them stuff. I also worked with Sherri. There has been alot of progress since it began being built.
Missing You by Krauss and Waite
Allison Krauss has a voice like an angel. When she sings she turns gentleness into strength and you just wanna listen one more time to her songs and feel the underlying boldness that rises up through her softly sung words. She recently did a remake with John Waite, who originally sang his song, Missing You over 20 years ago. I think you’ll enjoy this video like I have:
Prayer Today
Most people, even Christians, don’t take prayer to God seriously. I don’t pray like I should. I used to pray more. Most people just do things in their own strength. As a Christian I know prayer does at least two things for me. First, I spend more time in God’s presence, focused on him. Second, I am building treasure in my eternal heavenly dwelling place.
Wisdom In Teaching
When I went to Northeastern State University to get my teaching degree, one day as I was driving down main street, I started thinking about knowledge. It’s a great thing to be on a college campus where you’re surrounded by people who love and know many interesting things.

Coffee and Stained Teeth
This morning on my way to my son’s junior high Sunday school class my family dentist from before I was married was politely holding the door open for those passing through. It just so happened that a question had popped in my head during the past week that I really wanted to ask him. So I did just that.
6th Grade Science Class
I substitute teach on Fridays. I taught at a middle school this week. This school was built just four years ago. The setup of the building was great. The school had no bells except for at the start and end of the day. At one specific time during the day all students stop and read for about 20 minutes no matter what class they’re in.
Locks Of Love
I got my hair cut last night. Ginny went with me. We went to Ulta near 71st and Highway 169 in Tulsa. A man named Scott cut my hair. He did nice work. The two times that I have got my hair cut at Ulta for Locks of Love it seems they take their time and do a good job. As he cut my hair we talked. He graduated from the same high school my husband went to (the high school of the town we live in now). He used to be in a band as the drummer for 15 years. The band was having some real success. They opened for Richard Marx and some other famous names. They even had their own performances with a lead in band.
Easter Day celebrates the rest of the Christmas story.
Jesus was born like all humans and then He lived his life without doing wrong. And then He died representing our sin to the sinless God who had to forsake such a sight. And then He arose from the dead never to die but instead to ascend to heaven. And He won over the stronghold Satan had over humanity so that anyone who would choose God could spend eternity in an excellent place called Heaven.
April 4
Twenty more hours of work and then the weekend is here. This is an obvious statement but between Stacy, Kim and me someone will usually mention it every week.
Yesterday morning Kim said she had not gotten much rest the night before. Her nine year old son had decided to take a walk in the woods near their home. He said he wanted to look closer at a cow he saw. When he didn’t come home Kim went looking for him. She did alot of walking. She had to walk through thorn bushes and through a pond. She found him and altogether the two had walked about three miles when Kim’s sister came by and picked them up. When her son got home he received some serious disciplinary action. I told Kim I would have glared at him as if I was glaring a hole right through his head and then I would have given him a long lecture on doing right with lots of repetition until great guilt weighed him down and then finally he would have received his disciplinary action!
