Tuesday April 3

I’m so glad to tell you I got my license to teach in the mail yesterday. I spent last night filling out an application for Broken Arrow schools.
I’m mad at myself though. I just don’t want to get myself down. I did an embarrassing job during my interview last week. I got too honest and talked my self down. I need to remember you can be honest without saying anything. I try hard to be honest and real to people. I’ve known two of those giving the interview for several years. I was not nervous. My first wrong move was just straight out telling them I was working toward becoming a teacher in the fall. I don’t want to lie. One or two salary people spoke of my positive qualities but then during the interview, I’d say, “To be honest . . . and then I’d shoot myself in the foot. I’m embarrassed. I would have definitely got it if they would have just allowed me to move there because of my high score. And then I would have done just fine learning the new job but during the interview I told them my intellect is not as high as most so it takes me a little longer to learn a job but once I learn I have it down well. I also didn’t stress how important quality is. I should have thoroughly explained how I understand that quality in our ranges is the foundation of what we do. Instead I probably sounded like some one who just wanted to make some new friends.
All of this frustrates me. Most of all I just gotta do perfect for my teaching interviews I put in for. I’ve got to get a teaching job.
I guess my current job has a fool proof way of weeding out those not qualified . . . not.

April 2

Since I’m driving in our carpool this week, I cleaned out the car yesterday and vaccuumed it and filled it with gas.
I didn’t get the job I tried out for last Thursday.
I read chapter 2 of Job. I thought he was going through some struggles in the first chapter but he still had more hardship to face. But his attitude was most admirable when he told his wife that God provides enjoyments along with adversities in life.

1000 Miles From Nowhere

Here’s my favorite by Dwight Yoakam. Love this song. Dwight and his friend put the video together. They each put one together and then compared them. It was interesting to see how the shots would match up. So they decided to run the two side by side for the official video. Later she died in the 9-11 World Trade Center Bombing.
Here’s the video.

Peaceful Start of A New Day

I awoke @ 7am today. I should have gotten up earlier. Danny usually wakes “the family” up @ 7:15 or 7:30. To be honest, we’re not going to make it to Sunday School today because my husband is still sleeping and I wanted to finish my daily Bible reading. It had alot of interesting stuff in it. Then I decided to write on this blog too. (I know this is selfish of me I could be getting our kids up at this moment and I understand my husband is just tired.)

Wed Work Day

I’m trying out for a job in another area. You have to check the range in detail for mistakes. These kind of jobs are few and don’t come up often. The requirements have been changed. Now you have to turn in your resume. I don’t mind that part, I just hope you don’t have to go through an interview. It seems they would be going a bit overboard. The job does not require leadership or lots of responsibility. It’s mostly going through a checklist with a range every hour and then working in a lab for a week’s rotation.
I hope I get it. I’m looking forward to learning something new.
I read from Matthew today words spoken by Jesus that people in general would consider ironic:
Matthew 23:11-12 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
Public Domain
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Tuesday Work Day

Oops, I was mistaken I don’t drive this week. Oh, well no harm done.
Ten hours of work ahead. 40 more to go for the week. I’m glad for the insurance of the job and it mostly gets us enough money. I haven’t been able to substitute lately. It’s getting me down. The current business I’m in is not my cup of tea. Teaching is.
I read about a talking donkey in Numbers 22:1-40!

Work Week Start

I woke up early today. About 3:30 am. I’m starting my work week. This is my week to drive in our carpool. I drive every third week. I also will drive one extra day because we have an overtime 10 hour day on Friday. I like overtime days from time to time. It just gets old when we have OT for a couple of months every other Friday. But I’m glad for the extra money and the boost in sales. 🙂

You should check out this movie. Except it’s not in movie theatres yet but it is coming soon . . . this very Spring!! This movie is called Treasure Blind and it has a whole lot of home grown Tulsa talent. My son’s friend is a co-star. Just from watching the trailers, the interesting storyline keeps your attention and then as you watch, your heart will be touched as the story unfolds.
