Pecan Pralines

I’ve been fixing this recipe alot lately because I got a few bags of Papershell pecans at a low cost. It has a few simple ingredients and I usually just throw it all together.
Pecan Pralines
1 cup of pecans
1 tablespoon of real butter
a few shakes of salt
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Then pour the pecans into the pan. Sprinkle salt over the pecans. Let the pecans cook for about 3 minutes over the low heat. Stirring to make sure the pecans are completely covered in butter. Then pour in the brown sugar. Stirring to break down any lumps. Let cook about 3 minutes, still on low heat. Do not burn the brown sugar. It should be a bit dry and granuled. Add vanilla. This should give the mixture a small amount of moisture. Make sure the pecans are well covered in the brown sugar mixture. Cook for about 2 minutes and then remove from heat.
Makes 1 cup
