Are you a woman with a husband you that you get a strong impression that he is a real loser! (Disclaimer: my husband is not in this catagory!!) Every woman needs to pray to make her husband a better man.

In the past I have prayed the Jabez prayer from the Bible for my husband. But now I have a bigger and better prayer for him.
First of all, I have confidence in this, Romans 8:28 . . .We know that all things work together for good to all them that love God and are called according to his purpose . . . that would be us!
I’m gonna pray Bible verses for my husband and me. At our church, in order to become a leader you have to do a specific list of things recorded in the New Testament. Here’s the list that I found this morning.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray this for my husband,
That he would be an overseer and desire noble Christian tasks.
that he would be above reproach
(the husband of one wife, just me)

able to teach
not given to drunkenness
not violent but gentle
not quarrelsome
not a lover of money
manage his own family well
that our children would obey him with proper respect
that he would fulfill opportunities do well in caring in God’s church
Thank you God that he has gained the wisdom of being a Christian for decades rather than a new convert.
I ask that my husband would not have conceit or arrogance and pride
that my husband would have a good reputation with outsiders
that he would not fall into disgrace and sinful traps in which satan passionately sets to destroy the good and wholesome life of a Christian
I also pray that Danny would live the life of a deacon ( which is very similar to the above)
He would be worthy of respect
sincere
not indulging in much wine
not pursuing dishonest gain
keep and hold the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience
When being tested by God or other Christians may my husband do exceedingly well and nothing be found against him!
I pray that my husband would serve well
and gain an excellent standing within the Christian community and in our society
May my husband’s Christian testimony reveal his great assurance in his faith in Christ Jesus.
Yes! Every wife needs to pray this prayer of Christian integrity for their husband. I don’t care how hopeless your husband appears. You gotta start somewhere. And a long list of top-notch qualities prayers (requested daily and faithfully) to the One who created your husband is definitely where to begin!
Within the list I just made there are 27 excellent qualities that would help my husband to be a better man than he is today!
Now let’s just watch and see the love notes and miracles that can come from the hand of God in our family life because of my dedicated requests to Him.

Dear Heavenly,
Help me to truly love my husband through my words, deeds and intents of my heart. Deliver me from times of frustration, anger and bitter towards him. Help me to have God-given patience even when I get tired of trying. Give him the wisdom of the young King Solomon in leading our family. Give me respect for him when I desperately don’t want to respect him. And help me to follow the description of a godly wife found in 1 Timothy 3:
Help me to be a woman worth of respect
not a malicious talker
temperate
trustworthy in everything
and help me fulfill the requirements my husband must accomplish
