We’ll Have A Good Time Then

Samuel, my son, is growing up real fast. Just three years to college. The rest are close behind. I hope I can figure out a way to earn money at home to focus on them more. This morning as I awoke, a song was running through my head.
Here are two clips of Harry Chapin’s unforgettable song, Cat’s In the Cradle:

In the future when they’re gone and living in the grown up world, I soooooo hope I can look back and say I did the best I could with my four most prized possessions.

Psalm 72

18 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel,
Who alone works wonders.
19 And blessed be His glorious name forever;
And may the whole earth be filled with His glory.
Amen, and Amen.

Help Others

I found another good quote on the Mrs. Happy Housewife site. You should just go there and check her site out. She has several interesting aspects. I can go there and read the Bible online with an audio and then have access to the best devotional readings. And then in the upper lefthand corner she searches out interesting websites for each day during the week.
The quote encourages always remember to help others. Even when I get old I don’t want to just sit in an easy chair and waste my time on TV.

I Love This Part . . . The Kentucky Headhunters!!

This blog entry is dedicated my sweet friend that I used to work with. He was from Kentucky and he liked this song. I just now found it on Youtube. I miss talking to him and several others that I would joke around with alot. I hope it brings a smile . . .No, actually I hope it makes him pretend like he’s the lead singer with an air guitar!

Fight the Victim Mentality

My brother has been trying to get a hold of me for a few days. I didn’t want to talk to him because I’m embarrassed from the ridiculous lie that has gotten me fired and labeled me by the company as one who had gross misconduct.
Finally, he got ahold of me. I was annoyed and told him I just wanted to be around my family right now. Then he told of something that happened to him.

The Lord Will Provide

I received a “thinking of you” card in the mail today from someone at my church. Her name is Jill. When I opened it handwriting mostly filled it. Jill and her husband were our Sunday School teachers when we first began attending our church. In the years past of their life they had been missionaries in another country.

God Is Powerful

Fear God for He is mighty. That’s not a Bible verse I just made it up. But I did read about how mighty He is in Romans 11 today:
33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!
34 For who has know the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor?
35 Or who has first given to Him that it might be paid back to Him again?
36 For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
