The old car was really rusty and so were the things found in the trunk such as some cans of beer. A glass jar of gasoline was also found in the trunk. They put it in their just in case gasoline was no longer used to fuel cars. The old car was so damaged from the decades of being waterlogged it wasn’t worth starting.
The many things in the time capsule survived. There was an American flag that was in excellent condition and proudly held out for all to see.
