Jeremiah, The Weeping Prophet

I haven’t gotten into the hidden-away Old Testament book of Lamentation very much. But I did this morning.
It was God’s will for Jeremiah to proclaim bad news to Isreal, God’s people. God’s wrath was coming to them because of the many wrong things they had done. It looks like the dedicated prophet had the job no one would want. I want God to bless me with a life full of joy. It would be hard for me to accept that as a lifetime goal.
I wonder how Jeremiah was raised. I wonder what his personality was like. I’m pretty sure God took him through certain and specific events in life to mold his personality to handle such a burden.
