Yesterday I was talking to my husband. I told him last week while I was working I finally decided to quit being annoyed with my job.

Narnia’s Turkish Delight
Friday night I saw the movie Narnia for the first time. Last year it was the long-awaited movie released during Christmas that everyone wanted to see on the big screen.
Charles Haddon Spurgeon was a
Charles Haddon Spurgeon was a famous eloquent spokesman for the Word of God. He also wrote a Christian book called Morning and Evening. I love reading from his book for a morning devotion. You can find his book at the Back to the Bible website.
An Unexpected Opportunity :)
Last Monday when I went to work I was so frustrated. In fact, I got mad. I wanted to just quit struggling to keep up with the seemingly endless flow of cooking ranges we make for our customers. I was tired of being an assembly line worker. I got especially sick and tired of the job when I saw our new team leaders.
Mrs. Carlton
I substitute taught a fourth grade class at Cherokee Elementary in our little town today. It took me about 2 minutes to get there from my house. It was okay. It was for just a short while (about 2 and a half hours). I have a teaching degree that I could use to teach children that are in kindergarden through the eighth grade that I ultimately want to put to some good use.
Educational Games
If you are homeschooling or just want to give your children some extra practice at all the details of learning they must know in order to succeed here are some great websites full of tons of info that are from the Mrs Happy Housewife Website. I love to check into this site on a regular basis it has a nice variety of interesting things. It is also my link when I do Bible studies.
Nick Vujici, Inspirational Speaker
As I watched my impulse first thought was to yell out, “No, don’t do it. You’ll drown yourself!” He had no arms or legs! How’s he supposed to swim? But then the video showed him coming up out of the water, with a satisfying, refreshed look on his face. And then doing the back stroke!
His name is Nick Vujici. He’s from Australia and is 23. He has a website called lifewithoutlimbs.org. He was born with no arms or legs except for what he calls a chicken foot that has two toes on it. He’s got an interessting video out and it shows him going through his daily routine:
Quiet, Self-sacrificing Heroism
Teddy Roosevelt was one of the United States’ greatest presidents. Personally, I haven’t thoroughly studied him. But my attention was admirably focused on him when I read a great quote by him on the Mrs. Happy Housewife blog. It’s a quote that gives busy moms the honor they deserve. Here it is:
“No ordinary work done by a man is either as hard or as responsible as the work of a woman. . .
Tears
For over forty years I’ve been trying to figure out life. I’ve shed all kinds of tears in that life span.
As I’ve gotten older I’ve began to realize sometimes the tears I’ve shed aren’t worth sharing with anyone. They are there to just help me release stress from my struggles in life. When I was little I needed attention if I cried. If I skinned my knee or hurt my finger I insisted on attention from someone, especially Mom or one of my big brothers.
I Wanna To Be More Like That
If I was a perfect mom, I would be to the “T” what this poem describes but since I’m not its fun to study it to remind me (and the other members of our household) how to do better.
Just to be tender, just to be true,
Just to be glad the whole day through,
