Keith Green was a famous Christian singer. At our church the congregation quite often sings his song There Is A Redeemer. I’ve heard say, he was a child prodigy. He put out many records but then his life ended when he was killed in a plane crash. After he died his wife Melody wrote his biography. He started out young in show biz. Here is a clip from an old game show in 1965:
Here’s a song that was popular on the radio.

How To Be a Gentlemen Part 1
Ahhh, being a gentleman to a woman should never go out of style and women need to be ladies when they have the privilege of being in the presence of a true gentlemen.
In Ephesians, It says to be kind one to another, tender-hearted forgiving one another even as God in Christ Jesus hath forgiven you. Personally, I think this verse gives a foundation to what a gentleman is. Their attitudes and actions are focused on another, as they are kind and respectful to that person.

Etiquette Of A Gentleman
By Michael Bucci
One only needs to take a quick glance around to notice that there are very few true gentlemen remaining among us. In times past, a gentleman was much appreciated and being gentlemanly was a noble thing.
Alas, things have changed in today’s society; some for the better and some for the worse. One thing that particularly irks me is the lack of good taste and etiquette most guys are guilty of at the turn of this new millennium.
I’m not saying that men should act like robots and be slaves to etiquette, but some basic good manners will go a long way in helping you during your ascent to the top.
What I’ve done is compile a quick list of tips that will help turn even the most blundering fool into a proper gentleman. Follow these simple tips and I can assure you that people will perceive you as a man of good breeding and taste, hence a man they wish to associate and conduct business with. Not to mention the fact that the ladies are always quite pleased to meet a real gentleman.
General Etiquette
Always be polite
Even if you don’t like someone, there is no need to lower yourself to their level. Be polite and courteous; show that you’re the better man.
Man On The Moon
Neil Armstrong was the first man to step down onto the surface of the moon. Here’s an old filmstrip from 1969 when he spoke his most famous words:
Here’s another great quote by the astronaut that’s even more thought provoking:
“It suddenly struck me that that tiny pea, pretty and blue, was the Earth. I put up my thumb and shut one eye, and my thumb blotted out the planet Earth. I didn’t feel like a giant. I felt very, very small.”

Etiquette Of A Gentleman: Part II
By John Samuel
What do James Bond and Cary Grant have in common? They represent the quintessential gentleman. It’s what makes them so charming and beloved. They are smooth and suave, and know how to behave in every situation. What do they have that I don’t? you must be asking yourself. Nothing, it’s just that they read the book on etiquette. Although one might think they’re a staple of a bygone era, true gentlemen never go out of style.basic good manners

Etiquette Of A Gentleman: Part IIIBy Edward Chalmers
“People, like diamonds, have a basic market value, but it is only after they have been polished that the world will pay their real value.”
– William Thourlby
Part I and Part II of the “Etiquette Of A Gentleman” series outlined how important good manners and gentlemanly behavior are to your professional image and social life.
Whatever the business or personal situation, your most valuable commodity is yourself. Practice all your best marketing techniques to attract interest and create a positive and lasting impression.
Here are some additional tips on how to gain a competitive edge by using etiquette to demonstrate that you are a true gentleman.
Courtesy & Consideration
Don’t “kiss and tell”
Discretion, honor and integrity are of paramount importance in developing and maintaining your reputation as a gentleman. Details of your love life should remain private. Similarly, if a colleague has too much to drink at a party, be discreet. Never break a confidence and don’t participate in unkind gossip.

Dallas Theological Seminary Sermons
I just discovered something exciting. The internet provides the opportunity to hear Christian speakers who speak at the well-known Dallas Theological Seminary . This seminary is conservative and believes the Bible is the inerant, Holy Spirit inspired Word of God. They are on Oneplace. These weekly sermons can be a good addition to our families education.
You’re The Reason God Made Oklahoma
You’re The Reason God Made Oklahoma may not be theologically correct but it’s still a pretty song.
This song was popular in 1984 when I was a Senior in high school. In my journalism class we would put it in the song dedication section of the school newspaper. Denver Herren, another student in the class once mentioned that it was one of the best country songs he knew.
I like the words to the song. I’m from Oklahoma. I go to Tulsa all the time. I used to live in Cherokee country when I was getting a bachelor’s degree in college. When I was a teenager my best friend’s dad proudly owned a John Deere tractor. We lived in the country growing up, I understand what it means to have a long “drive to town” and “work all day” farming land.
Last night on the way home, there was a full moon. It made me think of this song. I had just visited a happy couple excitedly in love. I visited them at a home in the country. God’s green earth visible everywhere as I watched the sun do it’s lovely deed of setting.
All the imagery going through my head, a full moon, fresh green grass and trees and a happy couple lead me to think of this old but classic (that deserves listening time).
