Today Is Square Root Day
Today is a square root day. Why you may asked? I found the site, SciAm.com that explains it:
In today’s case, 3/3/09, 3 is the square root of 9—in other words, 32 = 3 x 3 = 9.) Square root days arise in every year whose last two digits are a perfect square, or a number whose square root is a whole number: The last square root day was on February 2, 2004 (2/2/04), and the next occurrence will be on April 4, 2016 (4/4/16).

I found this answer, linking verbs are used by themselves, in contrast to helping verbs, which come before another verb: was running.

Paul Harvey Dies At Age 90
“As long as you try to be someone else, the most you could ever hope for is to be second best.” ~words that encouraged Paul Harvey to be the unique voice he was.
It was sad news when I heard Paul Harvey had passed away. I noticed his son has been doing his broadcasts on KRMG. He had been on the radio for over 70 years. He started at KVOO in Tulsa. When my mom was little she listened to him with her mom. And my daughter and I have listened to him. That’s 4 generations of listeners. Here’s the story from KTUL.
