Wed Work Day

I’m trying out for a job in another area. You have to check the range in detail for mistakes. These kind of jobs are few and don’t come up often. The requirements have been changed. Now you have to turn in your resume. I don’t mind that part, I just hope you don’t have to go through an interview. It seems they would be going a bit overboard. The job does not require leadership or lots of responsibility. It’s mostly going through a checklist with a range every hour and then working in a lab for a week’s rotation.
I hope I get it. I’m looking forward to learning something new.
I read from Matthew today words spoken by Jesus that people in general would consider ironic:
Matthew 23:11-12 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)

But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Tuesday Work Day

Oops, I was mistaken I don’t drive this week. Oh, well no harm done.
Ten hours of work ahead. 40 more to go for the week. I’m glad for the insurance of the job and it mostly gets us enough money. I haven’t been able to substitute lately. It’s getting me down. The current business I’m in is not my cup of tea. Teaching is.
I read about a talking donkey in Numbers 22:1-40!

Work Week Start

I woke up early today. About 3:30 am. I’m starting my work week. This is my week to drive in our carpool. I drive every third week. I also will drive one extra day because we have an overtime 10 hour day on Friday. I like overtime days from time to time. It just gets old when we have OT for a couple of months every other Friday. But I’m glad for the extra money and the boost in sales. 🙂

The Movie Treasure Blind

You should check out this movie. Except it’s not in movie theatres yet but it is coming soon . . . this very Spring!! This movie is called Treasure Blind and it has a whole lot of home grown Tulsa talent. My son’s friend is a co-star. Just from watching the trailers, the interesting storyline keeps your attention and then as you watch, your heart will be touched as the story unfolds.
Here’s the trailer for Treasure Blind.

Sunday Morning

The time is 6:51. It looks like evening outside, right before dark. I hear the sounds of birds. You know . . . no one complains about such sounds of the morning even if they just wanted quiet. That’s because the pretty music of a bird is as peaceful as still silence. There’s just a bit of cheerfulness added to the peacefulness.

Agenda For the Day

The time is currently 7:33 am. It’s Saturday. My plans for the day are to go stay with Mara. She is 93 years old and needs someone around constantly. I like this job. It’s easy work and I enjoy relieving the other two ladies who trade off each week. I’ll stay there for 8 hours and usually Mara and I will go out for lunch.
I hope your day is a good one. I intend to enjoy mine. 🙂

True Worth

It is not enough merely to exist.
It’s not enough to say, ‘I’m earning enough to support my family. I do my work well.
I’m a good father, husband, churchgoer.’ That’s all very well.
But you must do something more.
Seek always to do some good, somewhere.
Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. Even if it’s a little thing, do something for those who need help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it.
For remember, you don’t live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.”
