Lately I've been trying to memorize Bible verses as a way to focus on Jesus during Christmas. I consider that keeping my mind focused on Bible verses is a gift I could give Him. But in an amazing way He's giving back. I am also involved in a Sunday School class in which we need to memorize a verse each week. I looked at the lesson this morning and much to my amazement it was the one I was already memorizing. What are the odds of that "just happening?", very small. I have been working on Romans 12:1-2 and in the lesson we are to memorize Romans 12:2. At another time after I had just memorized Matthew 11:28-30 it happened again . A few days later I heard the verse mentioned on a radio program and also that same day I noticed it on my coffee mug that I hadn't used in a while. I'm encourage to know that Jesus welcomes my gift of verse memorization and shows me in kind gentle ways.
