As the sky began to lighten today, I noticed a fog. There is a layer of it in the distance in the field near the road. These low lying clouds fog have a peaceful quiet presence.

The sun is coming. It's brightness is just below the visible horizon. Today along its edge there is a dark gray layer and then above it a characteristic orange-yellow layer makes way and acknowledes to the awakening Oklahoma landscape that the blazing sun will soon appear and take command of our new day while we go about busy with so many activities.
