Two times in my life I have become aware of an unusual word. It's the word hoodoo. I heard it once in the song, Born In the Bayou by the old band Creedence Clearwater Revival and then today when I looked up info about Bryce National Park.

Here are the definitions according to Merriam-Webster Online:

1 : a body of practices of sympathetic magic traditional especially among blacks in the southern United States
2 : a natural column of rock in western North America often in fantastic form
3 : something that brings bad luck

I don't care to learn much more about the defined false religion but I do want to study the beauty of God's awesome creations. I went to the website Terragalleria and found a visual of definition #2. There are hundreds of orangish rock formations known as hoodoos found in Bryce Canyon National Park in the state of Utah.

According to the official National Parks website, Bryce Canyon is a small national park in southwestern Utah. Named after the Mormon Pioneer Ebenezer Bryce, Bryce Canyon became a national park in 1924.
