Building Blocks 2007: Day of Departure

It’s the day of departure for me. Look out Pheonix, Arizona here I come. Ginny is lying next to me with her head on my arm as I write this. I’ve been checking the weather in Pheonix. It’s going to 100 degrees when I get there! And then it’s going to be about the same all week long. This is different from our humid but not so hot Oklahoma spring days.

My family gave me a musical card for Mother’s Day. When I opened the card, with all my children present, it played out a tune. There was a couple of lines from the old but somewhat cheesy song, What A Difference You’ve Made In My Life. I don’t mind. I’ve enjoyed memorizing all the words to some of the most cheesy songs that were ever written.
To be honest, I liked seeing my four offspring better than receiving the card. I quickly looked at each of their faces. It’s thoroughly imbedded in my memory of their importance to me. I knew them all so very well, right from the start, when they were tiny humans weighing less than 10 pounds :).
