“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” -- Hebrew 11:6
But You Love Me Daddy (Mom!, I wonder if you remember this one. This one is so much fun . . just love it :)
At our family Christmas party I told Mom I was finding a bunch of old video clips on YouTube. Then she said Jim Reeves was a good one. She said he had a smooth voice. I have found several of him. I can't wait for Mom to see them.
As my 11 year old son, Benjamin's grows, his own unique personality shines. There are two things I know he likes, learning about science/nature and personal attention.
Disclaimer:Just because you see Michael Jackson is on my blog, I am not responsible for any purchase you may make of his stuff!! I just think he does a real kool moonwalk! I do not promote his personal values!!!!
My son Benjamin was trying to moonwalk so I figured I would help him out and see what I could find:
The year has just begun. I want to read the Bible every day so I can spend some personal time with God. And I would love and be honored if you would want to do this with me. I do it in the easiest way possible :)
Maybe you're still not inspired to make a new year's resolution to better yourself. This morning I just had to revisit my mostest favoritest video on YouTube. It inspires me every time, puts a little guilt on me and makes me "just do it." Watch for yourself (again) the CAN video from the Hoyt Team:
Sometimes I can get real emotional. My emotions can easily follow the twists and turns and up and downs of a roller coaster ride. Yep! Sometimes I'm like an emotional roller coaster.
I know about 5 minutes ago I put a (boring) health article on this site. Well, here's another I found on the Yahoo search site. (I need this stuff for my personal files, so I can have facts to back up my food lectures I give to my children.)
Two or three years ago, I was waiting in the dentist office for my children. I started thumbing through a magazine and found an interesting recipe. It was chilli with the ingredient of chocolate.
If you're in Oklahoma USA right now, like much of the midwest you may be stuck in your house without much to do. You just may have a little too much time on your hands and it may be tickin' away with your sanity.
I hope not, but if so here's something you could have fun doing. It's called a line rider. It's a tiny guy on a sled. You draw a line and see if he can ride on it without wrecking. Here's an example:
You can play the game for yourself at this site. Have fun!
I heard some news I didn't want to hear at the start of my work week. Pat from the side panels area on the assembly line told me of a young woman that works on another assembly line who had killed herself during the past weekend. She was a team leader on another line and had worked here for five years.
"It's new fashion to look old fashioned." I pulled this quote from a my space video that was taken from an old 1948 film by Simplicity sewing patterns. This home economics film is 59 years old!! (I love such nostalgia.) It provides sewing instructions on how to make a dress.
To everything . . . turn, turn, turn. . . words to a popular song sung by The Byrds in the '60's. The words were derived from the poetic book of Ecclesiasties in the Bible (3:1). King Solomon, the son of King David of Israel wrote the original.
I had the privilege of finding this great song in an old clip from 1966. I guess you could say the video is of some byrds sitting on horses (ha.)
