As I watched my impulse first thought was to yell out, "No, don't do it. You'll drown yourself!" He had no arms or legs! How's he supposed to swim? But then the video showed him coming up out of the water, with a satisfying, refreshed look on his face. And then doing the back stroke!
His name is Nick Vujici. He's from Australia and is 23. He has a website called lifewithoutlimbs.org. He was born with no arms or legs except for what he calls a chicken foot that has two toes on it. He's got an interessting video out and it shows him going through his daily routine:

I substitute taught a fourth grade class at Cherokee Elementary in our little town today. It took me about 2 minutes to get there from my house. It was okay. It was for just a short while (about 2 and a half hours). I have a teaching degree that I could use to teach children that are in kindergarden through the eighth grade that I ultimately want to put to some good use.

Last Monday when I went to work I was so frustrated. In fact, I got mad. I wanted to just quit struggling to keep up with the seemingly endless flow of cooking ranges we make for our customers. I was tired of being an assembly line worker. I got especially sick and tired of the job when I saw our new team leaders.

Lately, I've been reading from the book of Proverbs. It has 31 chapters. Some which were written by King Solomon. I go to a site called Heartlight. There is a "search for" box where I type in the Proverb I want and then choose the "in the Bible" from the three choices available.
