The time is 6:51. It looks like evening outside, right before dark. I hear the sounds of birds. You know . . . no one complains about such sounds of the morning even if they just wanted quiet. That’s because the pretty music of a bird is as peaceful as still silence. There’s just a bit of cheerfulness added to the peacefulness.

Rebecca Wright and Eating Healthy
Registered Dietician Rebecca (Becky) Wright is a name I want to remember. I’ve only seen her three times (about once a year) on television. Each time I’ve seen her, she has been on our local Tulsa Comunity College station. She’s giving a lecture on fighting cancer with a healthy diet.
Agenda For the Day
The time is currently 7:33 am. It’s Saturday. My plans for the day are to go stay with Mara. She is 93 years old and needs someone around constantly. I like this job. It’s easy work and I enjoy relieving the other two ladies who trade off each week. I’ll stay there for 8 hours and usually Mara and I will go out for lunch.
I hope your day is a good one. I intend to enjoy mine. 🙂
True Worth
It is not enough merely to exist.
It’s not enough to say, ‘I’m earning enough to support my family. I do my work well.
I’m a good father, husband, churchgoer.’ That’s all very well.
But you must do something more.
Seek always to do some good, somewhere.
Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. Even if it’s a little thing, do something for those who need help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it.
For remember, you don’t live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.”

Socrates On Fatherhood
I was listening to a sermon from last Monday by Chuck Swindol about fatherhood and he quoted from Socrates. He described the quote as most likely the best words the philosopher ever spoke. As I heard it I just wanted to write it down.
This is the quote:
Ten Super Foods
Here are ten super foods to base a healthy diet around. I found these on the food network where there are also a ton of recipes to dig through.
Berries– strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and rasberries
Citrus fruit– oranges, grapefruits, lemons and limes
Feelin’ Draggy?
There are days from time to time when I awake and its hard to move. I feel almost like a heavy weight is holding me down. I feel really draggy and could instantly drift away into a deep sleep that would last another hour or two! Sort of like a sloth might feel . . .
Do you ever get this way?
John In 21 Days
Remember when I challenged you a few blog entries back to read the book of John beginning March 12th? It’s from the Back to the Bible website. I’ve already started reading it with my family but they can also read it for themselves from the Google video site. Here check it out. (Note: It doesn’t stop on its own.)
The passage for each day is as follows:
I Never Knew You . . .
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I, I took the one less travelled by
–Robert Frost
As a Christian you must strive daily to follow what Jesus told you to do. You must deny selfishness and fun sinfulness and obey what Jesus wants you to do whether you like it or not. (Matthew 16:24, Mark 8:34, Luke 9:23)
Here’s a sermon from SermonAudio.com that you need to sit down please and focus on and then, listen to it again.
