Great things happen in your life when give it all to God.
Psalm 37:
3 Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.
5 Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
6 He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.
God described Himself to Moses on Mount Sinai during the time he was leading the Israelites to the Promised Land.
Here’s a great idea, take God’s words and speak them out in praise.
Exodus 34:
5 Then the Lord came down in a cloud and stood there with him; and he called out his own name, Yahweh.[a] 6 The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out,
“Yahweh![b] The Lord!
The God of compassion and mercy!
I am slow to anger
and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.
7 I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations.[c]
I forgive iniquity, rebellion, and sin.
But I do not excuse the guilty.
I lay the sins of the parents upon their children and grandchildren;
the entire family is affected—
even children in the third and fourth generations.”
8 Moses immediately threw himself to the ground and worshiped. 9 And he said, “O Lord, if it is true that I have found favor with you, then please travel with us. Yes, this is a stubborn and rebellious people, but please forgive our iniquity and our sins. Claim us as your own special possession.”
Jesus sought out people who knew they had done wrong. They knew they were sinners. They were humble that way. Jesus could help them change.
Mark 2:
13 Then Jesus went out to the lakeshore again and taught the crowds that were coming to him. 14 As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,”Jesus said to him. So Levi got up and followed him.
15 Later, Levi invited Jesus and his disciples to his home as dinner guests, along with many tax collectors and other disreputable sinners. (There were many people of this kind among Jesus’ followers.) 16 But when the teachers of religious law who were Pharisees[a] saw him eating with tax collectors and other sinners, they asked his disciples, “Why does he eat with such scum?[b]”
17 When Jesus heard this, he told them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”
In Jesus’ ministry He preached, healed and cast out demons. And then He died on the cross and come back to life after conquering sin and death.
Every time Jesus met someone His focus was their soul.
Mark 1:
35 Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray. 36 Later Simon and the others went out to find him.37 When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.”
38 But Jesus replied, “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.” 39 So he traveled throughout the region of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons.
There is a great spiritual battle that wages on each day. As Christians we are the victors. We’re with Jesus so we win. The enemy and his demons know God’s power and are scared of him. We need to verbally acknowledge that reality everyday day by praying and speaking God’s powerful word.
Mark 1:
21 Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum. When the Sabbath day came, he went into the synagogue and began to teach. 22 The people were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority—quite unlike the teachers of religious law.
23 Suddenly, a man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evil[a] spirit cried out, 24 “Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!”
25 But Jesus reprimanded him. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” he ordered. 26 At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into a convulsion, and then came out of him.
27 Amazement gripped the audience, and they began to discuss what had happened. “What sort of new teaching is this?” they asked excitedly. “It has such authority! Even evil spirits obey his orders!” 28 The news about Jesus spread quickly throughout the entire region of Galilee.
If you’re a Christian, you have the backing of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. When He died on the cross and then came to life after death, He conquered death, sin and our enemy the devil.
In that power today, we must go and tell others the Gospel of God’s unending love.
Recently, I thought of a new goal for myself. I want to say a Bible verse each day to someone at work. God’s Word has power. So, I pray for an appointment from God that I could speak His love into another persons life.
God Is good. Follow Him. Seek Him always. Respect Him. Trust Him.
David wrote Psalm 34. He was a warrior of warriors. He had great inner strength. He went to God always. And God answered.
Psalm 34:
I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.
2 I will boast only in the Lord;
let all who are helpless take heart.
3 Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness;
let us exalt his name together.
4 I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.
He freed me from all my fears.
5 Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;
no shadow of shame will darken their faces.
6 In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened;
he saved me from all my troubles.
7 For the angel of the Lord is a guard;
he surrounds and defends all who fear him.
8 Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
9 Fear the Lord, you his godly people,
for those who fear him will have all they need.
10 Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry,
but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.
God spoke and it all began.
Psalm 33:
The Lord merely spoke,
and the heavens were created.
He breathed the word,
and all the stars were born.
7 He assigned the sea its boundaries
and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs.
8 Let the whole world fear the Lord,
and let everyone stand in awe of him.
9 For when he spoke, the world began!
It appeared at his command.
10 The Lord frustrates the plans of the nations
and thwarts all their schemes.
11 But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever;
his intentions can never be shaken.
The Bible clearly instructs us to follow God and reject the luring wrongs this world has to offer! David wrote about it.
Psalm 32:
Therefore, let all the godly pray to you while there is still time,
that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment.
7 For you are my hiding place;
you protect me from trouble.
You surround me with songs of victory. Interlude
8 The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.
9 Do not be like a senseless horse or mule
that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.”
I believe the words I speak as a Christian are impactful. I try everyday to say positive words of blessings for those in my life. I pray God’s Word every morning for my loved ones.
I read, towards the end of the Gospel of Matthew, that Jesus was put on trial and the high priest of the Jewish temple would determine the verdict of guilt or innocence of a crime. He asked Jesus if He was the Messiah to the Jews, the Son of God. Jesus replied “You have said it.” These Words stand out to me. Why did Jesus say that to this man of importance in the Jewish community? I do not exactly know. The man was definitely in a powerful position. The Jews trusted him. But he was not of God because he accused Jesus of blasphemy against God. But Jesus gave the priest’s words power, I suppose, when He said…You have said it. Jesus loved the high priest like all other people and even though the priest didn’t believe it in his heart, the mere saying of You are the Messiah, the Son of God was truth. But a few verses later, the priest clearly rejects Jesus and accused Him of blasphemy. Was Jesus encouraging the high priest toward the purest truth that Jesus is God’s Son, hoping, in front of the crowd, that he would accept such truth?
Matthew 26:
62 Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, “Well, aren’t you going to answer these charges? What do you have to say for yourself?” 63 But Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest said to him, “I demand in the name of the living God—tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”
64 Jesus replied, “You have said it. And in the future you will see the Son of Man seated in the place of power at God’s right hand[a] and coming on the clouds of heaven.”[b]
65 Then the high priest tore his clothing to show his horror and said, “Blasphemy! Why do we need other witnesses? You have all heard his blasphemy. 66 What is your verdict?”
“Guilty!” they shouted. “He deserves to die!”
67 Then they began to spit in Jesus’ face and beat him with their fists. And some slapped him, 68 jeering, “Prophesy to us, you Messiah! Who hit you that time?”
