CV’s School Song, Creed and Offering

I found my old school handbook from when I was in the 7th grade (’78-’79!) Here is the info taken from page 3.
School Song:
Hail, our mighty Alma Mater
Caney Valley, proud and strong.
Though other things are soon forgot’
Our love for you will linger on,
Memories that we will cherish,
Of the school where we belong,
The red and black will live forever,
Trojan Pride lives on and on.
(Tune: Beethovan’s “Ode to Joy”)
What’s an Alma Mater anyway?
1 : a school, college, or university which one has attended or from which one has graduated
2 : the song or hymn of a school, college, or university

Creed
I believe in CV School as an institution that offers me the opportunities I need for growth in citizenship, knowledge, and leadership.
I believe it is my duty to my parents and mself to profit by opportunities; therefore, I believe it is my duty to my school to defend it against unjust criticism, to honor it with my own achievements, and to add to the splendid traditions that it now enjoys.
Offering
The CV School offers as a varied and enriched program in curricular and co-curricular activities as is possible with available personnel and facilities. Each student should secure the maximum benefit of what is provided.
