We found a baby turtle yesterday. It was at the water resevior when my husband and I went for a walk. The turtle was sitting at the water’s edge. I snuck up beside and grabbed it quickly so it wouldn’t swim away. Danny held it in his hand for awhile as we finished the walk and then it stopped being scared and wanted to scamper away, I put it in my baggy pants pocket. It wiggled some but not a lot. When we got home we gave it to our daughter. She named it Shelley even though we don’t know if its a girl or boy.
We’re still trying to figure it out. Ginny found a site that helps you do this.

I found this on YouTube in a previous entry. I love this pretty song. It’s secular but it’s based on words spoken by Jesus.
Jesus said in John 8:12,
“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Jesus also commanded Christians to do works which will cause His lovely light to shine through the kindnesses we show others 🙂 Matthew 5:14-16 express Jesus’ command and are verses in found in the Sermon on the Mount, in Matthew 5:14-16,
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
A prayer for myself from my heart:
Dear Heavenly Father,
May my life glorify your holy name,
Jesus, may the welcoming light of your love radiate through me,
help me have ambition to find opportunities to help others
and teach my children the fulfilling joy of unselfishly helping others!!!!!! 🙂

I found a site Runner’s World that shows a video. There is one runner in this video that likes to start out his races in a loud and obnoxious way. It’s the same guy in all the different segments.
The video was funny. You gotta read the ton of comments below because it gives you insight into a real runners persective through ancedotal stories.
