Earlier the local channel 8 showed the 57 Belvedere after it was pulled from the vault. It had a brake light showing from beneath the torn covering. Here’s the video

When the complete car was unveiled at 6:30 pm it revealed more of the same rusty appearance. For the most part the ceremony was mostly non-climactic. Some items in the time capsule were still in good condition though.
I had to buy groceries so I was unable to see it. I was confident I could get the 6:30 unveiling on our local TV stations but info is sparse so I just asked my husband what he thought and he said it wasn’t that big of a deal.
