Ten Super Foods

Here are ten super foods to base a healthy diet around. I found these on the food network where there are also a ton of recipes to dig through.
Berries– strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and rasberries
Citrus fruit– oranges, grapefruits, lemons and limes


Vegetables– winter squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, leafy green vegetables, broccoli, spinach, garlic and onions
Whole Grains– brown rice, oats, and whole wheat flour
Salmon
Legumes– beans, peas, peanuts and lentils
Nuts and Seeds– almonds, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds
Lean Proteins– fish, skinless chicken, turkey, lean beef, milk, yogurt, ricotta cheese and other cheese
Tea– green tea, Oolong tea and black tea
